What is ceramic coating?

A ceramic (SiO2) coating is a clear, protective layer that is manually added to help protect your car against fading, light scratches, animal droppings, and corrosion. It is extremely hydrophobic, meaning it When being applied, it goes on as a liquid and then hardens over the next 24 hours or so.
